Mikelle Virey is a versatile Toronto-based writer/director with a love for story. He has a vast knowledge of almost every job in pre production and post and can both collaborate and delegate.

In 2007, Mikelle graduated from the University of Toronto with a double-major in Theatre Performance and Classics. After graduation, Mikelle enjoyed a few years of acting in plays and several films before jumping behind the camera.He attended Sheridan College's Advanced Television and Film program where he majored in Directing and Screenwriting.

 

In 2013, he was hired direct the 12 episode series “Kid’s Town” which went on to win several awards at film/TV festivals around the world.

In 2016, Mikelle was nominated for “Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series” at LA Webfest for his work with a comedy series “Hooracha!!!”.

Recently, Mikelle has directed a comedy pilot “Coming Distractions” and 5 episodes of the teen drama “2nd Generation”, both of which are in developing into TV series.
